How to remove/mask fish odor?

Written by admin on July 24, 2009 – 12:48 pm -

I live in an apartment, and eat a lot of fish. When you leave for a little bit and come back in, its very obvious that the whole place has the eu de fish thing goin on. Its kinda embarassing, every time I have a guest over I have to qualify the odor by saying "yea, I eat a lot of fish." Still, its kind of awkward. Anyhow, are there any good deodorizers/air freshners out there that can mask or eliminate the stink? I mean its not overpowering, but like I said, there is the definite fish undertone that smacks you in the face as you walk in.

FYI, I have used sprays (febreez, etc) and they work to a certain extent, but I’m more looking for something that I can plug in/leave in a corner.

Thanks.

When we have fish fry’s at the fire station, afterwords we take a very tiny bit of cinnamon and sprinkle it on the stove burner. Then we turn the burner on LOW and let it sit for a few seconds, someone always stands there and watches. Then turn the burner off and allow to cool, wipe with a damp cloth and your house will smell like you’ve been baking all day!!

I’m not sure if the plug in air fresheners will be strong enough.

Can dry skin increase odor or smell?

Written by admin on July 24, 2009 – 12:48 pm -

If i have dry skin and used a scented body wash, would it increase the smell? Also would it increase body odor? Thx :)

If you used a scented body wash on dry skin it would INCREASE the smell and DECREASE body odor. Oh, and it would probably get rid of your dry skin, too.

My urine is cloudy…. Hopefully looking for a medical pro to offer input here…?

Written by admin on July 24, 2009 – 12:48 pm -

For the past week or so I’ve noticed that my urine appears cloudy. It isn’t concentrated / dark yellow and I drink tea and water all day, so I know it isn’t dehydration. I don’t have other urinary symptoms like frequency or burning or pain – no hematuria – no unusual odor – nothing out of the ordinary except that I look down before I flush and say, "Hey! That’s cloudy!" I have had stressed-induced stomach issues for the past couple years, probably just an ulcer on top of a not-no-sensible diet, but through all that at its worst, my urine was never affected. So this is weird. Does anyone know what this cloudiness could mean?
Forgot to mention I’m a 33 y/o female. So my prostrate has never been better… :)

According to the website "when you need to worry about cloudy urine."

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/455919/when_you_need_to_worry_about_cloudy.html

If you have no pain, blood, frequenct etc.
This is what it says.
phosphate crystals can build up in your urine. These crystals then precipitate and make your urine cloudy. This typically happens after eating a large meal, or sometimes after drinking milk, which is high in phosphate. You can test to see if your urine cloudiness is due to phosphates. Simply take a small sample of your urine and drop a bit of acetic acid (vinegar) in to it. If it is phosphates, the urine will become completely clear immediately.
Hope this helps.

How do you get rid of bad breath at parties?

Written by admin on July 24, 2009 – 12:48 pm -

I have bad breath. I know for a fact. Yet, when I’m at parties, it becomes the worst! How do you get rid of bad breath at parties when you have nothing that can help your breath get better?

Have you tried eating parsley, dried or fresh. Parsley is a natural remedy for halitosis.
