Any remedies for getting rid of smelly feet?

Written by admin on March 15, 2010 – 11:57 pm -

My dad has outrageously smelly feet, he has tried everything from rubbing alcohol to foot powder to creams, anything you can think of he has tried. (He has an office job, so he’s not outside getting sweaty everyday, he just has very smelly feet)

Does anyone have any home remedies or know of any product that would actually work?

Nothing he has tried seems to work! Please Help!

    1. do not wear socks all the time. let feet air out at least at home

    2. try washing them with vinegar. Really. Maybe soke them in a mixture of water and vinegar (more vinegar)

The smell comes from bacteria that eat sweat. An anti-microbial soap you can get at any grocery store will do. make sure he gets between the toes, too!

spray feet spray in your shoes and put foot scented cream on your feet to make them smooth and smell nice.

ok wen i went to camp for 9 days.. i wore socks like 24/7 so i feet couldnt like..’breathe’ and it stunk wen i got home.. anyways

everytime i get stinky feet.. mom would soak my feet in hot water (so hot until ur feet goes BRIGHT RED) and dettol.. dettol is brownish in colour but turns white wen mixed with water.. ratio- water:dettol = 10:1
you dont need that much anyway..

bacteria causes the smell.. so killing the bacteria would kill the smell.. -.- duh.. anw.. dettol disinfect it.. kills it!! lol x.x

took me usually 3 days to get the smell off.. remember it needs to be sooo hot it burns..

dettol is famous.. u’l prob heard about it.. can get them anw.. from supermarkets to chemist..

Cornstarch is another really good ‘old wives’ method of freshening up your footwear, though, of course, it only masks the root cause of the problem rather than curing it.
