My big male dog has very strong and smelly urine. Is there anything I can give him to reduce the smell?

Yes, he needs more water, ever notice that when you’re dehydrated during the day, your urine tends to smell stronger, thats because its more potent, the same goes for a dog. Give him more water, but you’ll need to give him more walks aswell.

Get him neutered. The urine doesn’t smell 10% as bad as it does now. I suppose there’s probably some fancy dog food that might work too.. dunno.

Is he neutered? That will reduce the smell a lot. How much is he drinking? If he’s not drinking enough, the kidneys will concentrate the urine. It can be indicative of kidney problems. You can submit a urine sample to your vet and can also check for urinary tract infections and stones in the bladder.
